It has come to my attention that our prayer community may attract some scam artists. These are people who aim to exploit well-meaning members who are often in some need of their own. For example, if a PrayWay member is in need of money, a scammer might promise that member a free money grant in exchange for personal information.
There are many different ways that scam artists operate, and their "pitch" can be quite convincing. Therefore, we are enacting the following rule for PrayWay effective immediately:
There shall be NO solicitation of PrayWay members for any reason whatsoever by outside parties or members themselves. A solicitation is an offer to sell you something, give you something, or a request for information of some sort. If you receive a solicitation sent through the PrayWay messaging system, or from a PrayWay member, please forward the entire message to: admin (at) prayway.com.
Note that PrayWay will occasionally run its own "in-house" promotions (for example selling official PrayWay merchandise, or promoting a community sponsored event such as an online baby shower). Of course any internal solicitations are allowed and sanctioned by the administrators. If you have any questions about such promotions, please contact me.
Some solicitations may also come from well-intentioned members who have a desire to help someone. However, this is NOT allowed. For example, even if you think a member will benefit from purchasing your nutritional supplements, this is not the place to do it. If you see a legitimate need that you would like to help with, please contact me so it can be preapproved, or considered for a community-sponsored event.
Again, if you receive any questionable messages, please forward them to me. Members found to be soliciting other members for any reason will be given one warning. A second violation will result in being permanently banned from the site. Any member found trying to SCAM another member will be immediately terminated and banned from the site.
As a word of advice, don't share your personal information (such as your address) with people online who you don't know. And it should go without saying, but never give out any bank account or credit card numbers to a questionable source. Many scammers even pose as online merchants or banks in an effort to steal your information. Never click on a link in an email to reach your bank website, or an online payment processor such as Paypal. Such links might take you to a fake site that looks exactly like the real thing. Always go to those types of sites by typing the web address directly into your browser.
Praise God that this ministry is growing, and attracting all sorts of people--many of whom desperately need a personal relationship with God. There are always a few "bad apples" in any community. I've also seen that wherever God is doing something great, the enemy may try to hinder that work. Help us keep this community a safe and God-centered place by reporting any inappropriate or suspicious activity.
We are also seeking additional moderators to help "patrol" the forums and oversee certain areas of the site to ensure that prayer requests are being prayed for, and problems are not occuring. For more information please click here.
Thanks for taking the time to read this! I hope you realize that this is not meant to scare anyone or discourage you from participating in our community. If you keep these common-sense guidelines in mind, you will have nothing to worry about.

I just received a new scam from a PrayWay member. It is painful to see how these scammers attempt to prey on people under the guise of Christianity. I am posting the solicitation here as an example of a scam: ===== DONATION FOR GOD'S WORK Dear in Christ , I am Mrs ROSELINE BANNY,from Kuwait.I am married to late Mr COLLINS BANNY, who worked with Kuwait Embassy in Ivory Coast for Twenty-Six years before he died in the year 2002,after a brief illness that lasted for only five days. We were married for Eighteen years with a duaghter(Linda)who later died in a motor accident. Before the untimely death of my husband,we were both born again Christians. Since after his death I decided not to remarry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is against. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of (US$3.5M)(THREE Million,Five hundred Thousand United States Dollar) in a General Trust and Finanacial company in Abidjan Cote d'Ivoire. Presently, this money is still with the in this financial company. Recently,Following my ill health, my Doctor told me that I may not last for the next five months due to my cancer problem. The one that disturbs me most is my stroke sickness. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to a Christain organization /Church or somebody that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct herein, according to the desire of my late husband before his death. I want this fund to be used in Christain Activities like,Orphanages, Christain schools, and Churches for propagating the word of God and to endeavor that the house of God is maintained. The Bible made us to understand that "Blessed is the hand that giveth". I took this decision since I don't have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians and I don't want my husband's efforts to be used by unbelievers. I don't want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly way. This is why I am taking this decision. I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that "the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace". I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health hence the presence of my husband's relatives around me always.I don't want them to know about this development. With God all things are possible. As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of this Financial company here Abidjan. I will also issue you the documents that will prove you the present beneficiary of this fund. I want you and the Church to always pray for me because the lord is my shephard. My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that Wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and Truth. Please always be prayerful all through your life. Any delay in your reply will give me room in sourcing another person or Church for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I Stated herein. Hoping to receive your reply. Remain blessed in the Lord. Yours in Christ. Roseline Banny
