We don't have to beg God! He loves us! He is a wonderful, loving Father! We don't have to try to convince Him to deliver us or save us or heal us--He already did it for us through Jesus Christ! The bible tells us so! "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." (2 Peter 1:3 NIV) Praise God!! It's already ours! Matthew 11:12 tells us, "From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it."
Know the truth, and live right with God. These days, many seem to want to "candy-coat" the truth, or dance around it. I understand that love must be behind our actions, most especially when speaking the truth, as it sometimes hurts to hear it. But the fact remains, God doesn't want to be blamed for our troubles. He didn't cause them! God doesn't do that! satan is our enemy! It feels good to get an emotional answer, and yes it's good to encourage someone. But let's not lull ourselves into a false sense of security. God wants us to have faith. And faith means believing God spoke the truth in His word, and that He won't fail us--regardless of what the circumstances look like. Even without a sign! Especially without a sign! God is love! And it's His kindness that leads us to repentence--not His beatings!! God isn't a terrible father! He loves us! He wants good for us! He wants us to trust Him to take care of us. Let's not let the devil confuse us and complicate matters. Remember, we must become like children, trusting our Father God. (Matthew 18:8) Imagine a mother holding her infant child, feeding her and caressing her. That mother would do anything in the world to protect that child and meet her needs. And the child trusts her mom to do so. God loves us SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT! Here's the simplicity of God: Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6:33 NLT) |
